As you can see when you drive around town, Garner is continuing to grow fast. Here’s a brief roundup of some of the more significant new projects:
The most visible ongoing development is still White Oak Crossing at U.S. 70 and Jones Sausage Road. Panera Bread and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers are well underway on the northwest quadrant of land at that intersection. Both restaurants expect to open this spring. A Sheetz and Zaxby’s are also coming to that quadrant.
There’s also new construction in the original part of White Oak Crossing on the south side of U.S. 70. Buffalo Brothers has built a restaurant in front of Target along White Oak Road. The eatery has received its certificate of occupancy and should be opening sometime very soon.
On the residential side of things, Wilson Parker Homes is finishing up its model home in the Creekside subdivision off of Rand Road. The homebuilder plans to construct 92 single-family homes in that development. In addition, construction is well underway at Deer Harbor Apartments in Greenfield Park North.
Another notable project is the new corporate headquarters under construction in Greenfield Park North for STOCK America, a leading producer of sterilization equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries The 17,000-square-foot facility is expected to be completed in October.
